Project 52+

This was taken for one of my failed 52 week projects

I have been tossing around the idea of doing a project 365 or a photo a week challenge or something of the sort for the longest time now. In fact I have started and failed 3 photo a week challenges already over the past 2 years and a project 365.

Incase you were wondering a 365 project is a photo a day for a year or 365 days, a photo a week is the same thing except it is weekly for 52 weeks. The point of these projects, at least to me, is to get you out taking pictures on a regular basis to better your skills and get you thinking creatively about the scenery around you.

The reason I want to do one of these projects is because I feel as though I spend more time writing and reading about photography then actually taking pictures.  While reading about this has given me a great deal of knowledge on the subject and writing about it has helped me figure out where I want to go with it; I have completely dropped the ball on the practical side of things.

I know I would drop the ball eventually on a 365 and the pressure of taking a photo every single day would eventually turn into a burden instead of a motivational learning experience. So I have decided on a 52+ which means at least one photo a week until February 2014. I will post the shot of the week every week so expect the first one this time next week!

I know I have failed at this same project before but there is something about this blog that is helping me actually live up to the things I have set out to do since I started it so hopefully I will continue my streak with Project 52+

Wish me luck!
